The BIS library is run by a professional librarian along with a Library Committee made up of parent members. The School Librarian is assisted by members of this committee to help manage the day to day functioning of the library. New books are added frequently and we have a very extensive collection of books of all types. All classes have library periods where every child has to take at least one book. Library mothers interact with children during this time to inculcate good reading habits and also conduct interesting activities to increase interest and awareness about books. Book reviews and discussions are encouraged. Internet access, scanning, printing and online catalogue of all the books with a complete library management software, are some of the computer facilities available in the library.

Always colourful with attractive displays about current events, new books and school happenings, the library is an inviting sanctuary for the many "bookworms" of BIS.
