This year, yet again, BISMUN has been an invigorating experience for the students. Though the MUN was conducted on April 26 and 27, planning for the event began in December 2013. The students drafted a comprehensive proposal for conduct of the MUN that was discussed with the MUN Directors (Ms. Dasgupta, Ms. Vageesh and Ms. Merchant) and subsequently submitted to Ms. Seervai and Ms. Karpe. Once the dates and committees were frozen, the organizing team spent the next three months drafting study guides, besides accepting Press Applications and managing all committee allocations that ensures that seniors attended the MUN as experts who would guide the junior “fresh” MUNers. All the hard work and planning culminated in two days of stimulating debate and discussion which helped our students emerge as well informed and aware individuals with an open mind to deal with any world issues.
