With a worldwide flow of information connecting a global community, BIS sees Information Technology as an essential tool for enhancing the learning experience of students.

The IT Committee, comprising the Principal, the IT staff and volunteer parent members, addresses the IT needs of the school for both education and general administration.

The Committee advises and puts forth strategic initiatives for building a robust IT framework for the school, specific aspects of which include software and hardware planning and purchase ensuring quality maintenance.

Some of the school's immediate goals are:

• Exposing the school to alternate browsers and operating systems

• Deployment of open source in non-academic areas

• Facilitating a secure Teacher Resource Centre

• Creating a Unified Network that will extend into the classrooms.
