About the BIS IBDP

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) was introduced at BIS in 2011 with the first batch graduating in July 2013. The IB@BIS is a natural choice of curriculum given the synergy between the school’s educational philosophy and the IB philosophy. The IB Mission Statement translates into a set of learning outcomes for the 21st century learner.

Bombay International School was established in 1962 and has been a pioneer in holistic education and student-centric teaching and learning processes. BIS has always focused on inquiry and experiential learning. Students are sensitized to Indian culture, history and are encouraged to appreciate diversity. They develop awareness about international issues and take active and responsible action. We inculcate a spirit of compassion, collaboration and attitudes of self-management, creativity, communication, critical thinking and research.
